Bodycocktail & Zanstones – both by Zan Hoffman

Bodycocktail is the only non-Norwegian band with a release (Aeromatic Insinuendo) on Famlende Førsok's ShiT Tapes label. Zanstones have been collaborating with FF since the 1985 release "Zanstones XII - Fundamental Frequency; Volume & Variety".
Bodycocktail (est. 1993) and Zanstones (est. 1983) who will book end the Emergency Festival with their first Norwegian appearance are two utterly different projects of Zan Hoffman, from Louisville, Kentucky. They are two of three projects on Zan's ZH27 label with over 100 releases.
Zanstones latest (#148) "R0AM" is one in a long line of international collaborations with fellow home tapers, something that has occupied Zan for the last 25 years of running his label. Bodycocktail 141 "Let's Panic Later" is the latest work in the 'bent out of shape proto new wave' song cycle of Bodycocktail that has produced 898 songs to date.
Zanstones live shows are city-specific works where all the sounds are gathered in the city of the concert + results are improvised with live. There are a mind-bending number of projects featuring Zan's collaboration with hundreds of artists over the last quarter century. Twenty-some myspace profiles document the active ones.
Zan is quite looking forward to this festival and will be around to talk about home-taping with interested English speaking enthusiasts.
