Local band MetroGnom plays 70s instrumental symphonic prog, with elements of spacerock and fusion. Some call it eclectic prog. However, they achieve making 20 minutes long pieces of music, without sounding boring. As a live band, MetroGnom is explosive, raw, jazzy and tender. They vary wonderful between rythmic and flowing melodies.
MetroGnom started in 2002, and in November 2006 the debut “Twangyluck” was released on their own label. They managed to get distribution in Japan, USA, Belgium, France, Spain, to mention a few. The CD was well recieved and also got fantastic reviews in both magazines and websites. “Twangyluck” recieved top awards in both Italy and Spain. MetroGnom is currently planning a European tour wich will take place after the summer. But first they will play at Sinus 13th of June!
